Accessibility Statement

SEEN wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to plan a trip with its maps. We work to make the site accessible in line with Israel’s Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758‑1998, the Service Accessibility Adjustments Regulations, 5773‑2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on WCAG 2.0 level AA. Our target is WCAG 2.1 level AA.

Current status

The site partially conforms to the standard. It was last reviewed internally on 29 September 2026; the limitations we know of are listed below.

What we have done

  • Keyboard. Buttons, links, dialogs and tabs can be reached by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Screen readers. Place markers, buttons and dialogs have text labels and roles, and status messages are announced.
  • A text alternative to the map. Every place on a map is also available as a list ("See all") and through search by name, with everything shown on its card.
  • Motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, transitions and animations are reduced.
  • Display. Information pages can be zoomed to 200% without losing content, text follows your device’s text size, and there are light and dark modes.
  • Language and direction. Information pages are in Hebrew and English, right-to-left in Hebrew, and creators’ text is shown in the direction of its language.
  • Structure. Headings, lists and tables use standard markup.

Known limitations

  • Page zoom on map pages. On a map, a pinch zooms the map rather than the page, so the page itself cannot be pinch-zoomed there. Text still follows your device’s text size, and every place is also available as text in the list.
  • The base map is a graphic. Its places are available through the list and search, but its streets and parks are not described to screen readers.
  • Story photos and videos are made by creators. Videos have no captions or transcripts.
  • The map interface is currently in English only.
  • Sites we link to - Google Maps, Instagram, TikTok, booking sites - are outside SEEN’s control and may not be accessible.

Physical service

SEEN operates online only and has no premises open to the public. Information about the physical accessibility of places on the maps, where it exists, is given as published and should be confirmed with the place.
